OK...I ADMIT IT.....I COLLECT COMMERICALS!!!!!

Like them or hate them...radio commericals have been around for over 75 years....and the great thing about them for the most part, is that they usually reflect the era that they were produced and aired. material in the 40's for instance, can be somewhat offensive in the 90's...or just plain laughable!!!! That's what i'm doing here....giving you a chance to hear some audio that chances are you would never hear anywhere else..as usually the world of commericals, in radio and TV is quite disposable. in the case of radio commericals, the reels, usually get erased and re-recorded over by the local station who received the tape. it's even more disposable now with the advent of computers and Digital Courier International (see my links page for more details about DCI!), and even more recent, MP3 via e-mail attachment or other means, it's just a matter of deleting the file...BUT..here's what happens when someone saves the tapes, catches the audio off the computer, so he can enjoy the material for years to come, because like it or not, commericals are part of pop culture. we grumble when that particular commerical "SUCKS" yet the advertisers message sticks in our mind!! That damn jingle keeps going in our heads over and over, until you almost feel you go crazy!!! scary part is, that's what ad agencies set out to do!, create product recognition!!!! so like or leave em, they are hear to stay! this part of my site, is for people like me, who like em!!!!

Make sure you have the program installed, or if you don't, go to the WINZIP SITE AND DOWNLOAD the program, then come back here and get the spots...or do it the other way around...i'm not trying to tell you what to do now....REALLY!!! I mean you have your own mind....don't you?
