This is a site I just found...off of one of the Tucows shareware/freeware sites. This site includes mp3 encoders, and audio players/editors, in addition to file conversion utilities....I HATE to leave those people with MAC's out...sorry it took so long, but better late than never....enjoy!!!
Here's likely THE BEST site on the net for downloading audio/music applications that are shareware and freeware...for virtually EVERY operating system that you can put in a home PC....The Shareware Music Machine is a great place to drop by.
MP4??? is there such a thing....sorta. Mp4, is officially being called Mpeg 2-AAC from what I understand, and with the hoopla created by mp3 and internet music in general, the folks who own the rights to the new format are not going to make the same mistakes as they did with mp3, and are not letting the format be too widely released as of this writing (june 2001). regardless, here's a few sites I found on the subject.
